Sunflower Mirror – Oct 16, 6:00-9:00

I made this mirror with recycled glass and ceramic shards. The substrate is a 1/2-inch thick piece of wood measuring 14 inches across. The center circle is a 5-inch mirror. We will have the substrate prepped and sealed upon your arrival. In this workshop, we will help you draw out your sunflower and teach you all the techniques needed to create your very own mosaic mirror. You’ll also have an opportunity to explore the tile wall to choose different colors if you prefer. The only tool needed is wheeled glass nippers to break the shard tiles. It’s not hard or scary so don’t let that hold you back!

It’s highly unlikely that we will finish a project this large in just 3 hours. If you don’t, you can either come back to an open studio time to finish up or we will send you home with the supplies needed to complete it.

A take-home grout kit is included in the cost of this workshop. If you would prefer to have it professionally grouted by us, please bring $25.00 in cash and we will get it done for you.
